This is a 1960s patch for the United States Navy's USS Narwhal SSN-671, a nuclear attack submarine. Narwhal was launched from Groton, Connecticut on September 9, 1967, and decommissioned in 199The patch shows a narwhal curled protectively around a missile.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 4" in height and 3-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
