This is a 1970s patch for the United States Navy's USS Philadelphia SSN-690, a nuclear attack submarine. Philadelphia was launched from Groton, Connecticut on October 19, 1974, serving for exactly 33 years. The patch shows an eagle perched upon the Liberty Bell.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-13/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, muslin backing.
