This is a late 1980s or early 1990s patch for the United States Navy's USS Philadelphia SSN-690, a nuclear attack submarine. Philadelphia was launched from Groton, Connecticut on October 19, 1974, serving for exactly 33 years. The patch shows an eagle perched upon the Liberty Bell.
VINTAGE:Circa 1980s-1990s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, gauzy backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
