This is a United States Navy submarine patch for the nuclear-powered submarine USS Gurnard SSN-66She was launched from Mare Island in Vallejo, California on May 20, 1967, and served, most notably in the Arctic, until April 199The patch bears the motto DE PROFUNDIS: Out of the deep.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960's.
SIZE:Approximately 4-1/16" in height and 4-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.
