This is a submarine patch for the USS Daniel Boone (SSBN-629), a ballistic missile submarine. The Daniel Boone was launched from Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, California on June 22, 196She was decommissioned in 199The patch is embroidered with the ship's motto: NEW TRAILS TO BLAZE.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-7/8" in height and 4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, partial muslin backing.
