Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a submarine patch for the USS Daniel Boone (SSBN-629), a ballistic missile submarine. The Daniel Boone was launched from Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, California on June 22, 196She was decommissioned in 199The patch is embroidered with the ship's motto: NEW TRAILS TO BLAZE.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-7/8" in height and 4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, partial muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT:
