This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 562nd Air Defense Artillery by Vanguard. The DI shows a spearlike arrow piercing a winged dragon and reads TUEBOR (I will defend), Michigan's state motto.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:VANGUARD V-21.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LABX10/11
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI has only light wear and one post is slightly bent.
