This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment by Vanguard. The DI is a crest with a golden bend bearing three green oozlefinches and reads SUSTINEMUS (we support).
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutch-back catches.
MARKINGS:VANGUARD N.Y. 1V.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The DI shows light wear and tarnish only.
