This is a 1940s distinctive insignia for the United States 562nd Air Defense Artillery. The DI shows a spearlike arrow piercing a winged dragon and reads TUEBOR (I will defend), Michigan's state motto.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months VAL90 LABX10/11
CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-: The DI has a small piece of enamel missing and some areas of moderate tarnish.
