ARTIFACT: This is a very cool 1954 graduation jump wing of Chesley F. "Buzz" Harriman. Major Harriman was born in 1936 and eventually was the commander of Battery E, 82nd Artillery, 1st Air Cavalry Division as of January 1970. He served in this capacity in Vietnam as a Major and retired around 1974, after flying helicopters in two tours in Vietnam. He is most likely still alive and living in Nixa, Missouri. These wings must have been given to a girlfriend early on who he did not stay with, and are in sterling silver.

VINTAGE: Circa 1954.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16" in height and 1-7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING; I LOVE YOU scratched on reverse of parachute; CHESLEY F. HARRIMAN RA (Regular Army) 12442452 APR 2 1954 mechanically engraved on reverse of wing.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX12 LBDEX3/12 SBDEX08/21

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows some small areas of light wear and light to medium tarnish.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
