This is a 1954-1955 patch for the United States Navy 8th Carrier Group (CVG-8). The patch shows a figure 8 along with a serpent, skull and crossbones, missile and a person in a haz-mat suit.
VINTAGE:Circa 1954-1955.
SIZE:6-1/8" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt patch embroidered in silver and gold bullion and multi-colored silk/cotton threads with cotton backing.
