ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950-1955 submarine patch for the United States Navy's USS Sea Cat SS-399. The patch is round with a "rope" border and shows the Warner Brothers' cartoon character, Sylvester the Cat, walking on water holding a missile. The patch reads U.S.S. SEA CAT SS 399.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Blue canvas patch embroidered in multi-colored silk/cotton threads with a mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch has just about no wear and excellent original coloring.
