This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 60th Infantry Regiment by Sherman. The DI is a black, mostly rectangular shield with a vertical wavy silver stripe, diamond and cannon, and reads TO THE UTMOST EXTENT OF OUR POWER.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutch-back catches.
MARKINGS:SHERMAN MFG. CO. PROVIDENCE R.I. 3S.
