This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 7th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a banded bale of cotton with two crossed bayonets behind. The DI reads VOLENS ET POTENS (willing and able) along the bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some light wear and tarnish with one tiny spot of enamel nicked off.
