Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 7th Infantry Regiment. The DI is a banded bale of cotton with two crossed bayonets behind. The DI reads VOLENS ET POTENS (willing and able) along the bottom.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has some light wear and tarnish with one tiny spot of enamel nicked off.
