This is a 1950s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 33rd Infantry Regiment. The DI shows a horizontal sword bayonet against a triangular field of cobalt blue and reads RIDENTES VENIMUS (smiling we come).
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some very small scattered spots of light wear to the enamel.
