ARTIFACT:

This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 1st Infantry Regiment in sterling silver. The DI is an oval belt with a red, white and blue crest at its center and reads SEMPER PRIMUS (always first).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

STERLING.
