This is a distinctive insignia for the United States Army 1st Infantry Regiment by Meyer. The DI is an oval belt with a red, white and blue crest at its center and reads SEMPER PRIMUS (always first).
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/4" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, maker's mark, crest with 9M.
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LBDX9/11
CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The DI shows hardly any wear.
