Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 17th Infantry Regiment by Meyer. The DI shows a five-bastioned fortress, a cross patee and an embattled wall.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in height by 13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical post with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS:

N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK and maker mark.
