Description
This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 548th Artillery Group by Orber Manufacturing Company of Rhode Island. The DI has a golden chevron with purple circles (or golpe) representing the grapes of Rhineland and a fleur-de-lis within a ring. The DI reads RELIABLE AND RELENTLESS.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1-1/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch (locking mechanism is missing).
MARKINGS:1O.
