This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States 85th Field Artillery Regiment by Orber Manufacturing Company of Rhode Island. The DI is a yellow and red crest showing a castle wall with five fleur-de-lis and reads UNDAUNTED UNCONQUERED UNEXCELLED.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:O-1.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The DI shows some light wear and there is one small crack in the enamel.
