This is a 1950s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 112th Engineer Regiment. The DI shows a cactus, castle turret and a key and reads PREPARE THE WAY.
The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition.
Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LCFX10/11
CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The DI shows has some spots of light to medium wear and tarnish, and a few small bits of the enamel are missing.
