ARTIFACT:

This is a 1950s Japanese-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 29th Engineer Topographic Battalion. The DI is a blue crest with a red X separating a fleur-de-lis from four stars.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 15/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single-screw post with disc backing.
