Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a launching ribbon for the USS Crevalle SS-291 from Portsmouth Naval Yard on February 22, 1943 and bears the slogan Remember Pearl Harbor". In just the first war patrol, the USS Crevalle sank a passenger-cargo ship of almost 7,000 tons, and made two more attacks on merchant ships.
