ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s or World War II United States Army 126th Field Artillery Battalion pocket patch. Once part of the 23rd Cavalry Division, the 126th Field Artillery Battalion was officially designated on May 19, 1942 and redesignated in 1963 to the 126th Artillery Regiment. The shield-shaped patch bears the battalion's motto, FOLLOW ME. The patch shows a badger perched upon a red and gold crest bearing a horse's head.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s - World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 2-7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool embroidered in silk/cotton threads, muslin backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.
