This is a circa 1930s or World War II officer cap badge for the Italian Fascist Militia (MVSN - Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale/ Voluntary Militia for National Security, or Blackshirts). The badge is in gold bullion on black wool and is for wear on a black cap or fez.

Circa 1930's – World War II.

Approximately 3-3/16" in height x 3-3/16" in width.

Wool embroidered in silk/ cotton and bullion thread, cloth backing.

To be sewn onto headwear.
