ARTIFACT:

This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 5th Infantry Regiment. The DI shows seven cannons on a shield with a raised arm above clutching a bunch of arrows. The DI reads I'LL TRY, SIR.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in height and 3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

None.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LAJX10/11

CONDITION:

8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some light wear and tarnish with some very small spots of light discoloration and abrasion to the enamel.
