1930s US Army 55th Artillery Regiment DI by Meyer

This is a 1930s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 55th Artillery Regiment. The DI is triangular and reads VIGILANTIA (vigilance) along its bottom border. At its center is a caterpillar beneath a double-headed arrow.

Circa 1930s.

Approximately 7/8" in height and 1" in width.

Gold-plated brass with enamel.

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

Meyer maker's mark and N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK.

The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LBHX3/11
