Description
This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States 14th Field Artillery Regiment by Meyer. The DI shows fourteen drops of water surrounding a white cross at its center and a war bonnet pierced by the arrow of Satanta, Kiowa chief, at the top. The DI reads EX HOC SIGNO VICTORIA (victory by this sign).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height 13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK and raised maker mark.
