This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 108th Engineer Regiment by Wright & Street. The DI shows a coiled serpent above a Y bearing four stars and reads MAGNA EST VERITAS (great is truth).
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:WRIGHT & STREET INC. CHICAGO.

CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The DI shows has some spots of light to medium wear and tarnish, some oxidation and one small area of missing enamel.
