ARTIFACT:
This is a Northwest Airlines five years of service lapel pin by W.H. from the 1930s. Northwest had begun in 1926 as Northwest Airways but changed its name in 1933 to be allowed to carry air mail. The pin is in the shape of an aircraft and reads NORTHWEST AIRLINES on its wings.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1930s.
SIZE:
Approximately 1/2" in height and 11/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-plated brass, brass nut.
ATTACHMENT:
Single screw post with disc backing.
