ARTIFACT: This is a Northwest Airlines lapel pin for five years of service from the 1930s. Northwest had begun in 1926 as Northwest Airways but changed its name in 1933 to be allowed to carry air mail. The pin is in the shape of an aircraft and reads NORTHWEST AIRLINES on its wings.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately 1/2" in height and 11/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass or sterling, brass pin.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: GREENDUCK CO. S.(?).

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAJX12 LHEX11/10

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The pin shows moderate wear and tarnish.
