ARTIFACT: This is a 1940s five years of service lapel pin in sterling silver for Northeast Airlines, formerly Boston-Maine Airways. The pin is a wing with a red and blue enamel center showing the head of a male Pilgrim.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 5/16" in height and 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver with enameled areas, brass backing.

ATTACHMENT: Single post with clutch-back backing (was modified from a pin-back).

MARKINGS: G (marking covered by new backing).

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX01 VAAEX12/10

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows some of light to medium tarnishing and all enamel is intact.
