This is a circa 1930s H. P. Hood & Sons thirty years of service hat badge for a milk deliveryman. Hood began manufacturing dairy products in 1846 in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The badge claims that the wearer is part of the Quarter Century Club and shows a great cow head.
Approximately 1-5/16 in diameter.
Plated brass with painted lettering.
Vertical pin with drop-on locking swivel catch.
This is from a dairy advertising collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBHX00 LAAEX12/11
8+ (Excellent): The badge shows virtually no wear.
As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
