1930s DI for United States Army 51st Coast Artillery Regiment

This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 51st Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI shows a caterpillar, a nod to the Holt Caterpillar tractors used by the tractor-drawn regiment.

Circa 1930s.

Approximately 1" in height and 3/4" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Single screw post with disc backing, stabilization post.
