This is a 1930s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 246th Coast Artillery Regiment. The DI shows a white saltire in the upper-left hand corner with a tri-color rainbow arcing out from it.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing, stabilization tooth.
MARKINGS:None.
