Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a late 1920s United States Air Service belted pilot's tunic with a bullion pilot's wing from World War I. The cut of the jacket and its buttons date it to post-1927, and it came to us from a home in Long Island. It also has two bullion insignia, two plated brass bars and a ribbon bar.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1920s (post-1927) with WWI wing.

SIZE:

No size tag: approximate size 34.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool, silk, brass, wool felt embroidered in bullion threads.

ATTACHMENT:

Buttons, buckle on belt.

MARKINGS:

CONDITION:
