This is a 1920s-1930s New York State Tax Examiner badge. The badge reads EXAMINER STATE OF NEW YORK DEPT. OF TAXATION & FINANCE 16 and shows the State of New York seal with an eagle at the top.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:2-1/16" height and 1-1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with blue painted letters.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with forked locking catch.
