ARTIFACT: This is a nice example of a 1920s-1930s New York City Newspaper Reporters/Fire Lines badge for a reporter from the New York American.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE: 2-3/4" wide by 2-3/4" high.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-type "C" catch.

MARKINGS: J.S. Packard. New York.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large collection, which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX07 LAGEX SAEJX5/14

CONDITION: 8- (Excellent - Very fine): Minor wear; slight tarnishing on reverse. Badge looks to have possibly been refurbished in the 1930s where something was buffed out of the badge under the word 'OFFICIAL' and the badge re/chrome plated at that time.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
