This is a nice example of a 1920s-1930s New York City Newspaper Reporters/Fire Lines badge for a reporter from the New York American.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:2-3/4" wide by 2-3/4" high.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with tongue-type "C" catch.
MARKINGS:J.S. Packard. New York.

CONDITION:8- (Excellent - Very fine): Minor wear; slight tarnishing on reverse. Badge looks to have possibly been refurbished in the 1930s where something was buffed out of the badge under the word 'OFFICIAL' and the badge re/chrome plated at that time.
