Description
This is a circa 1920s or 1930s detective badge for the State of New Jersey Secret Service, a private detective agency. An employee of the firm later went on to work on the high-profile Lindbergh Baby case. The badge is in the sunburst style and has the Seal of the State of New Jersey at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin (catch is missing).
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The badge has light to medium wear and tarnish and some minor oxidation; some pieces of enamel are missing; the catch is not present.
