ARTIFACT: This is a 1930s named New Jersey State Secret Service lieutenant badge. The badge reads STATE SECRET SERVICE N. J. LIEUTENANT and shows the State of New Jersey seal at center. Engraved on the reverse of the badge is the lieutenant's name.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: 2-5/16" height and 2-1/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: CARL E. TROY.
