ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1920s-1930s captain's cap badge for J & NF Company. The badge has a full band and the insignia is a wreathed flag bearing J&NF CO. and reads CAPTAIN above.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE:

Insignia: 2-1/4" height and 2-3/4" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool embroidered in gold bullion and red, white and blue silk/cotton threads with cotton backing and elastic band.

ATTACHMENT:

Elastic band.
