ARTIFACT: This is a 1919 Pedersen Device 03 Springfield clip pouch stamped as being from Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) and dated 1919. Now a national historic landmark, Rock Island Arsenal on the Mississippi River between Iowa and Illinois is America's largest government-owned manufacturer of weaponry. The Pedersen Device was a revolutionary time-saving attachment made for the M1903 Springfield rifle.

VINTAGE: Circa 1919.

SIZE: Approximately 9-1/4" in height and 5" in width and 1-1/2" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Burlap, metal.

ATTACHMENT: Hanger, locking button clasp, cover held on by a strap on one side only.

MARKINGS: R.I.A. 9-19.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. KEZAR CON-DB-25-VBJX13 LHEX4/13

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The pouch shows some light wear and some small areas of rust staining.
