This is an 1899 souvenir badge from the 33rd National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic. The medallion is a five-pointed star and hangs from a bar with a painted crest reading SOUVENIR.
VINTAGE:Circa 1899.
SIZE:2-1/4" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with painted details.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS:SCHWAAB S. & S. CO. MILWAUKEE with rising sun maker's mark.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Medal shows a few spots of medium wear, one where some paint is partially worn away.
