ARTIFACT: This is an 1899 souvenir badge from the 33rd National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic. The medallion is a five-pointed star and hangs from a bar with a painted crest reading SOUVENIR.

VINTAGE: Circa 1899.

SIZE: 2-1/4" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: SCHWAAB S. & S. CO. MILWAUKEE with rising sun maker's mark.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Medal shows a few spots of medium wear, one where some paint is partially worn away.
