ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1890s New York, New Haven & Hartford (N.Y., N.H. & H.) Railroad police badge. The N.Y., N.H. & H operated from 1872 until 1968. The shield-shaped badge has a finely etched border and a maker mark on reverse from the American Railway Supply Company of New York.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: AM. RY. S. Co. (American Railway Supply Company mark) N.Y.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some small areas of light to medium wear to the lettering and one very minor spot of oxidation.
