ARTIFACT: This is a World War II employee photo identification badge for the Uxbridge Worsted Company in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. At one time, the Uxbridge Company (formerly Bernat Mill), was the third largest yarn manufacturer in the United States, and they made United States Army uniforms during World War II. The badge is for employee number 31 312.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, celluloid, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a manufacturing collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJX12 LEGX3/12 SLFJX5/15 SEJX8/18

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows some small spots of light wear and tarnish and the celluloid is slightly yellowed and a bit buckled. The pin is functional but slides around a bit under the saddle.
