ARTIFACT:

This is a nice circa World War II worker photo identification badge for the General Electric Company River Works location in Lynn, Massachusetts. River Works is where the first United States-produced jet engine was born in 194The badge is by Whitehead & Hoag and is in a small size (1-1/4" in diameter).

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass, celluloid, paper, photograph.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS:

W&H Co. (Whitehead & Hoag mark).
