Description
This is a shoulder patch for the United States Army 92nd Division, also known as the Buffalo Soldiers. The division was comprised of all African Americans, and they borrowed their nickname from a sobriquet given to African American cavalrymen in the previous century by Native Americans. The patch is round in olive drab with a black border and shows a lone black buffalo at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
