ARTIFACT: This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 417th Regiment Basic Combat Training by Greenduck. The DI shows Nathan Hale, at its center, the patriot who said, "I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country." The DI reads SPIRIT OF '76 along the bottom.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: GREENDUCK CO. CHICAGO.

ITEM NOTES: The DI you receive will either be this one or one in very similar condition. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LCFX9/11

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some light wear and moderate tarnish.
