This is a World War II distinctive insignia for the United States 2nd Infantry, New York National Guard. The DI shows several symbols in a blue plane above a white field at the center of which sits an apple labeled 2.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enameled areas.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LCFX10/11 SCFX01/20
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The DI shows some light abrasion to the enamel.
