Description
This is a pair of World War II bullion glider pilot wings, one from the Royal Army and one from the United States Army Air Forces 316th Troop Carrier Group. The US wing shows a crest with a "G" at center and the British wing shows a crowned lion at center. The wings are accompanied by an invitation to the President's Birthday Ball for 1945.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Invitation has a 3-3/4" height and 4-3/4 width; wings are 3-3/4" and 4-1/2".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Felt patches with bullion and silk/cotton threads; invitation is oaktag with colored printing.
