This is a submarine model of the USS Grenadier from the Portsmouth (New Hampshire) Naval Shipyard. The Grenadier had one victory in her career with the US Navy and was sadly lost in March 1943.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-15/16" height and 7-1/4" width and 1-13/16" diameter at base.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDJL95 LAGEX8/10 SAGEX2/12
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Model has light overall wear and deck gun is missing.
